Garanti BBVA Kripto and Team1 Türkiye are bringing UniTour#3 to Yildiz Technical University. This stop of UniTour, which has so far met students at 16 different universities, is planned to cover the Web3 ecosystem, the role of blockchain in daily life and career opportunities in the industry. The event takes place on 22 October, 13:00-17:00, at the Faculty of Education Conference Hall.

Blockchain 101 is planned as a training session covering blockchain fundamentals with no prior knowledge required. The program covers the history of trust in money from Lydia to Bitcoin, a live demo of the Hashcash puzzle, the 2008 crisis and the genesis block. The closing part is planned to explain how hackathons work, how teams are formed and how to join the hacker pool.

YTÜ Blockchain held its kickoff meetup, the first gathering of the term, on 8 October at EEF D012. The club, its board, its teams and the term plan, from Blockchain 101 to UniTour, were introduced, and those interested in joining the teams were met. Projects and the club's vision were discussed, and the event closed with networking over pizza.
